  I am a lawyer by training (German bar admission) with over 15 years of experience in public licensing schemes. I served as Director for Creative Commons International overseeing and stewarding the Creative Commons global licensing suite and managing the global license porting project. From 2010 to 2014 I also served on the WEF Global Agenda Council on the Intellectual Property system and as a faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, Harvard University.
