1 Fortunately—**//yes, fortunately//**—not everyone is a software developer. Open source projects and the communities that support them need many types of development: [[business development>>url:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_development]]; [[community development>>url:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Community_development]]; [[financial development>>url:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-source_software#Funding]]; [[organizational development>>url:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organization_development]], and more. The OSI, as a community of practice, also benefits from such development activities and seeks your help.
2
3 The OSI seeks interested individuals and groups to support our daily operations and long term strategic efforts. Those interested may work remotely, coordinating with the OSI though various communications (email, IM, IRC, etc.) and collaboration platforms (wiki, discussion forums, etc.), or work with others in a shared location at the [[Maple Hill Operations Center>>doc:OSI Operations.Operations_Center]] in [[Albany, New York>>url:https://www.google.com/maps/place/Maple+Hill+Middle+School/@42.52131,-73.708901,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x89dde4678ee18d17:0xee7932d2e014ed7||rel="__blank" title="Maple Hill, Schodak NY"]].
